last weeks post was delayed as i have family over from far away, but it was a short week anyway due to summer.
mostly it covered the remake of the display system to allow for multiple factory states to operate at the same time.
the goal is that we want factory states to be like a cassette tape (age gated post), you can insert it into multiple machines. a state can be inserted into one of many factory displays with connected factory players that orchestrate the moving when the factory is running, but it also needs to be insertable into a munition so players can do clever stuff with flying bullets.
this is the idea of how an example factory set could work
so you have muliple factories that all do something different and connect them together as you see fit or as the level allows.
anyway this week was mostly about moving from single to multi state as the primary factory manager service was taking care of everything prior to this. the changes are not yet done though and work continues.
